"Mets les basket" - Babilou Family Luxembourg & ELA joined together for а noble cause
Babilou Family Luxembourg and ELA joined together in a event to support the fight against leukodystrophies
On 6th of September the children from Kidscare and Sunflower Montessori centers proudly participated for the second year in a row at the ELA Luxembourg asbl event that took placeat the John Grün stadium in Mondorf.
After information sessions and raising awareness about the objectives of the association in the fight against leucodystrophy, the children were able to measure their investment in this cause. A solidarity sports event followed to inroduce the chidren and their families to the importance of fighting leukodystrophies and degenerative brain diseases. During the day children were able to complete as much steps as possible which then have been transformed into donations to the association. The kids were involved in various activities : football tournament, babyfoot XXL, basketball, smoothie bikes, Capoeira, GRS Gym, face painting and many more.
About ELA Luxembourg
The objective of ELA is to help international research labarotories to better understand the mechanism of the disease, to identify the genes responsible for them to develop new therapeutic strategies to combat leukodystrophies. ELA regularly organizes a scientific conferences bringing together the greates international specialist in leukodystrophies and myelin repair. A dedicate conference to parents and families is also organized each year. The aim is to provide information on research advances and answer to their quesions.
